About Material Heritage

INTACH ICCI Material Heritage Division was established in 1984 with the main objective of preservation and conservation of the decaying art heritage of India. Beside taking on projects for the conservation of art, the center other main objective is to survey art collections, advice museums on conservation matters, provide training on conservation to curators of private collections, compile a catalog of museum collections, and prepare a status report on preservation.
